House submerged by Flood after the LPA in Iligan City

Although the rain volume during the Low Pressure Area (LPA) last Monday January 16 was nowhere near Sendong’s. There are still a few isolated flooding especially in low-lying areas, such as in the photo below.


I had a little chat with this woman in the picture.

“What happened to this house during Sendong?” I asked.

She replied, “One person died here.”

I gave her my advise, “You shouldn’t experience this everytime there’s a flood. Either you sell the property, or demolish the house and elevate the ground higher.”
