Another popular Filipino dish is lumpiang shanghai or lumpia shanghai. Although this dish is not a Filipino original, it originated in China. Was handed down through migration of some Chinese to the Philippines in the past centuries.
Not only this is popular here in the Philippines, but also in other countries, most especially the United States.
Making lumpiang shanghai is easy, but time-consuming, mainly in the part of wrapping of the ground meat or its alternative using the lumpia wrapper.
